I can not say that I was impressed with this helmet. I bought for my son who is obsessed with it. He loves the padding (which is important) and how light it is. He was disappointed that it no longer has the loose chinstrap snaps like it once did. The picture on the website stills shows the older model with those straps so just be aware if that is important to you. It dented the first time he practiced in it, so I was not impressed with that either, but he feels more comfortable using this helmet than the school helmets.

Love the helmet and shipped really fast. However my black helmet came with a white chin strap? That's frustrating as I will need to buy a black one.

The helmet is great. The only draw back was we had to pay an additional $70 to bring it across the border.

I love the helmet comfortable and fits to the size I ordered but one thing I recognize is the to part of the helmet where it says schutt look different from my friends helmets and the picture of the helmet on the website.

It doesn't smell as bad as speed flex when U use it in summer, much easier to clean. And U don't need to pay a lot of money on the facemask so U can get a good view.

No doubt F7 is one of the most protective helmet on the market, definitely recommend it

Comfortable and it came in a week

My f7 came yesterday and I was happy since i waited a quite bit, one thing that I noticed was it looked different than my friends and pictures online and what it was advertised as. The front of the helmet didn't not have a metal frame and instead is a schutt sticker. I was wondering if i could maybe turn it in and get a different one.

Great helmet, I bought one in October of last year 2021 and I still have it. Provides good protection, and feels nice. I just upgraded to the Vicis Zero2 for the latest upgrade in head protection technology, however I recommend this helmet over speed flex any day if your talking about the top 2 helmets besides Vicis. Vicis, Schutt, Riddell if you ask me.

Best Helmet you can get right now. Was debating speedflex or F7, glad I chose this one. Light weight and even lighter with titanium facemask, great protection and extremely comfortable even after hrs of use.

Overall great helmet, takes some getting used to and adjustment. The only three negative things I would have to say would be its weight, the size, and the included chinstrap. With the steel F7 ROPO-DW-O-NB face mask it weighs about 4.6 lbs. which is on the heavier side compared to the Riddell speed Icon which weighs about 3.9 lbs. I ended up buying an additional titanium face mask and it helped bring down the weight. So if you are planning on getting this helmet I would defiantly spend the extra money and go with the titanium face mask. The next con I have is the size of the helmet, I compared it side by side with a Riddell Icon speed and the f7 was way bigger and heavier. This added weight slows you down and makes you less agile. The last con is the chinstrap. when I received this helmet I immediately had problems with the chinstrap. This chinstrap does not keep the helmet on your head, and when tackling or hitting the helmet would slide up. This is a minor issue and I soon found that a Riddell or Battle chinstrap fit good with this helmet. There are many pros of this helmet, including the look, the comfort, and its ability to take some pretty big hits. I wore this helmet for one season and did not have any issues with my head hurting or any head aces. The reason I bought this helmet was it is cheaper than a Riddell Speedflex, though it is cheaper this helmet still performs absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone that wants a comfy great looking helmet.

I have given these to my players and they highly recommend. They have an excellent rating per the Virginia Tech scale and they are very comfortable. I will be purchasing more for my high school football team.

Honestly this is one of the most comfortable helmets i've worn. I play linebacker so i hit a lot but i have not felt any hits while wearing this helmet.

I really like the f7 I just got. It's comfortable, provides the top protection from Virginia tech, and does all that while looking super cool. Definitely recommend this helmet!

It's a nice helmet and obviously functional. Scored really high on the VA Tech ratings. That being said, the sizing is off. I'm an XL in everything else, but the XL for the F7 fit small. Even after removing the "underlayer" padding as I call it, it's still snug and I have no room to inflate the padding. Since then I have tried an XL+ which it more like an XL I'm used to. If you're a true XL I would consider trying the XL+ first.

Schutt F7 vtd might go down as one of the best helmets as of 2020, maksimum protection, maksimum comfort combines for a perfect helmet, a true competitor for the riddell speed flex, on a way lower price tag

Of all the new high tech helmets on the market today, the F7 is the cream of the crop. I own a Speed; SpeedFlex and a Vicis Zero1. I know that the Vicis is the highest rated helmet on the market, but the F7 is more comfortable and lighter than any of those helmets. The outer shell of the F7 reminds me of an armadillo's shell. I love the funky looking design of the F7. I highly recommend this helmet!

Best protect in the market

LIGHT WEIGHT, comfortable and rated #2 by Virginia Tech. Helmet isn’t cheap, but when you factor in the Titanium facemask and quality hard cup chinstrap - the only competition is the $975 Vicis and the $1700 “Precision Fit” Speedflex.

Great Helmet for my son!

I wanted to get a new helmet for my son who will be playing freshman football next season. We looked around some local stores but they don't carry the top helmets that we found on Sports unlimited. He had a youth Vengeance helmet before and we were between the Speedflex and the new F7. He loves the way the new helmet fits and feels and can't wait to try it out on the field. He is also pumped that he is one of the first on his team to get the F7. All around great purchase, glad we stuck with Schutt.

It's been awesome having a helmet I can trust and use on a regular basis play semi-pro football.
