This helmet held up well throughout the season and often times i didn't feel anything while using it would definitely recommend

I've played at *Nearly* every level that this sport has to offer, (Youth-HS-College, Ju-Co, D-2 and Semi professional) and have played TE - FB - DE - ILB and OLB. I'm currently still playing at the semi professional level, I'm 31 years old and I've never felt more secure with any single piece of headgear that I've owned. Yes it costs a bit more than the generic or older helmets, but when it comes to safety you really do get what you pay for. Adjustable liners are great for the "In-between" sizes of some players Twist and break away mask is added security just in-case something happens where they need the helmet off quickly. It feel's like second skin almost while its wrapped around your head, impressive "Shock absorption" I weigh 270 lbs, am 6'3 and run a 4.6 40yrd dash so I can bring a hit, but I don't feel like the helmet compromises in any way. Extended jaw area keeps the helmet snug to your head as well. I really can't say enough about this helmet, this and the new shoulder-pads i purchased from Sportsunlimitedinc (both suggested by Iknowfootball (youtube) have not disappointed I look forward to getting several more years of use out of them. 5 stars all around*****

Helmet is good when its warm outside. If it gets cold once it turns to crap.

Helmet is excellent. its a great fit, but the standard cheekpads are a tad tight and i don't have a massively wide face.

I ordered this helmet for my child and it is so good he never had a concussion (knock on wood) the protector on his helmet is good.

Purchased helmet for my son for HS Frosh team. Compared to Riddell helmet school provided, this is light years ahead in safety and comfort. Fits like a glove because of the 5 air zones - it provides a great custom fit even at the jaw. Fairly light weight and withstands great contact. Son plays FB/TE and MLB, and he has not had a single issue with helmet.

I purchased a helmet for my son who had been bugging me for a long time that he wanted the speed flex. I purchased the helmet and that is when the nightmare started. Be cautious when purchasing anything from Riddell and they will not exchange anything. My son has had had constant headaches ever since he started using this helmet. My son is going on his 7th year of playing football and has never had issues with Schutt or Xenith. I contacted Riddell and talked to Anabelle who has obviously been there a lot longer than she should because she was no help at all. She sent me 1" jaw pads which were supposed to be slimmer than the ones that came in the helmet but they were the same. I am out of almost $500 because Riddell refuses to return my helmet for a refund due to him using it twice which is how he found out he was getting headaches. We are now using a Xenith with no problems. Stay away from Riddell and especially the speed flex. Bad defective helmet.

I've tried lots of helmets, and while the speed flex is probably the most comfortable helmet on the market. I don't like it while wearing pads. It has a large offset design and will interfere with your head mobility, especially when you need to turn your head quickly. If you have a long neck, I guess that will offset the mobility problem. I just couldn't wear it and had to switch to a Xenith epic. I would also recommend the Rawlings Tachyon helmet. Small offset design helmets are much more fluid for skill position players.

I absolutely love my speed flex helmet. It is so light. I love all the new technology on it however I had a little bit of trouble with my chin strap it wasn't wanting to slide.

Very comfortable helmet, like the new straps because they don't pop off all the time after a tackle.

This helmet is just sick! It looks like nothing we have ever seen before in our 9 years of football experience with our son, who is now in high school. We bought this for him because of the safety aspect, so the look of it was a bonus.
